Mohiner Ghoraguli ...

I discovered the music of Mohiner Ghoraguli recently, only after I landed here in Florida. It would be true to say that this band was the best thing that had happened to the modern Bengali music, and it was in Mohiner's music that Sumon and others derived their inspiration from.

The ryhthm, the sounds, the instruments and the style the this band has produced is simply amazing. Who would believe that these songs were rendered during the early party of 70s. Surely, Mohiner were much much ahead of their times ...

I got introduced to Bengali music quite late in my life ... and thats a pity ... I regret not being able to grow up with sounds Mohiner's and Sumon's melodies ...
